Outside School Hours Care - Educational Leader - Full Time Fixed Term

Redeemer Lutheran College is seeking an experienced Outside School Hours Care Educational Leader to take on this full-time fixed term position commencing 24 November 2025 and concluding March 2027, with the possibility of an extension.

The Educational Leader is a part of a team of professionals, whose role is to nurture, strengthen, guide and encourage the children and fellow educators within the service. It is expected that the incumbent will conduct their work in an atmosphere of Christian service in support of the ethos of Redeemer Lutheran College (the College) and Queensland Lutheran Early Childhood Services (QLECS). All QLECS leaders are expected to support each other in this expanding area and develop a team spirit of cooperation and collaboration.

Skills and experience:

  • Minimum two years’ experience working in an OSHC, school, and/or childcare setting, including experience in a leadership or mentorship position.
  • Experience working with the National Quality Standards and My Time, Our Place documents.
  • Interest in leading and mentoring other educators.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Thorough understanding of WH&S requirements within an OSHC setting.
  • Attention to detail, especially when creating and formatting digital documentation.
  • Sense of imagination, fun and creativity, with a genuine love for working with young people and supporting their growth.
  • A growth mindset.
  • The ability to work unsupervised.
  • Support the Christian Ethos of the College.

About the role:

The position includes (but is not limited to) the following: Working collaboratively with the OSHC Director for the good of the service and assisting the OSHC Director with the day-to-day running and oversight of the centre. Ensuring a quality educational program is offered, partnerships with families are developed and maintained and utilisation is high. Environments, facilities, programs, documentation and materials will be monitored by the Educational Leader. The Educational Leader will support a culture of reflective practice, continuous improvement and positive change, by mentoring, guiding and supporting educators.   • SC1: Demonstrated experience in childcare leadership, with a proven capacity for leading and supporting other educators.
  • SC2: Demonstrated high level understanding of the National Quality Standards and My Time, Our Place, and a proven capacity for understanding how these frameworks should shape programming and documentation.
  • SC3: Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication capabilities, with strong interpersonal skills to develop supportive and responsive relationships with educators, children, families, and other stakeholders.
