Double Gold for our Volleyballers!

This past weekend, Redeemer Lutheran College entered 5 teams into the Queensland Senior School’s Cup Volleyball Tournament. This Tournament is held annually and runs across a total of 3 days. In 2016, Redeemer, along with 218 other schools across Queensland participated in numerous matches.

All teams played with great determination, sportsmanship and teamwork. We would like to acknowledge and congratulate all players for their hard work and dedication over the duration of the tournament and the weeks leading up to it. We would like to make a special mention to both our Girl’s and Boy’s Blue teams who won the Gold Medal for each of their divisions. Two of our Year 12 students Cody Hutton and Emma Hawley, are also to be congratulated for receiving the Most Valuable Player award for their entire division.

Congratulations to the following students on their fantastic achievement!

  • Boys Open Team: Bailey Atherton, Harry Fairman, Josh Green, Nick Harper, Connor Hickman, Cody Hutton, Jack Peoples, Ky Wain.
  • Girls Open Team: Neve Ferreira, Maddie Fitzgibbons, Aimee Harper, Emma Hawley, Claire Johnson, Hailey Ryan, Ally West, Rebecca Chan.

A massive thank-you to all our coaches and managers for their support in allowing our teams the opportunity to participate in this event. Finally, we would like to thank all parents and families for their ongoing support of the RLC Volleyball program.
