Accounts Receivable Officer
Redeemer Lutheran College is a leading co‑educational Christian College nestled on 40 acres in Rochedale on Brisbane’s southside. We’re seeking a detail‑driven, proactive Accounts Receivable Officer to support our finance team and oversees invoicing, payment allocation, debtor follow‑up, and account reconciliation while maintaining up‑to‑date and compliant financial records. This is a fixed‑term, part‑time contract through to the end of 2026, working onsite three days per week.
Specifically, the role will entail:
- Posting daily deposits and bank reconciliations
- Processing incoming mail concerning billing and invoicing
- Communicating with clients about billing discrepancies and questions
- Engaging management over any AR problems you encounter
- Initiating collections on past-due accounts
- Maintaining accounting ledgers as required
- Handling all special billing situations, including facility hire and service billing
Skills and Experience
- Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping or a Diploma of Accounting
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in accounts receivable operations
- Strong data entry skills and excellent attention to detail with high degree of proficiency with Excel and finance software (TASS experience is highly regarded)
- Experience with customer service and client communication
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience in an educational environment is an advantage
- Working with Children Status – Blue Card (mandatory)
