Redeemer's Cashless Tuckshop System
Redeemer Lutheran College is always seeking to make your interactions with the college more convenient and secure and that’s why we engaged Flexischools (Australia’s leading school payment system) to provide a new cashless way to pay for some college services.
This system allows Junior School parents or students to place Online Orders for Tuckshop from home, work or school at any time via the internet and your mobile device. Senior School students use their Student Card to purchase items over the Tuckshop counter.
Junior School Student Online Tuckshop Ordering
The payment for this is also done online, so don't need to send cash or a paper order to the college.
As well as being convenient for parents, the online orders are more accurate and much faster for the Tuckshop to operate.
Orders are delivered to the Junior School each break. Prep students have the opportunity to order from the Tuckshop in Term 2.
Senior School Student Card Payments
Parents simply set up a Flexischools account online and pre-load their account with funds.
Students then make purchases at the Tuckshop by swiping their card at the register.
Parents are able to view their students’ purchases online and can set a daily spending limit on the student’s card.Flexischools Introduction
Do I have to stay all day?
No – you are not expected to stay all day. The busiest time is in the morning preparation. An hour or two even once a month would be very much appreciated.
Are Grandparents or others able to help?
Yes – we would love to see Grandparents, sisters, brothers etc.
There are many different things to do such as:
- Preparing sandwiches and salad boxes
- Sorting through Junior School order bags and packing them
- Bagging hot food
- Helping to make burgers, wraps and hot dogs
- Serving at morning tea and lunch (all is self service)
- Counting money
- Labelling burger boxes and bags when required
Do I have to add up when serving?
No - the tuckshop uses scanners and cash registers. All food is barcoded.
Do I have to cook anything?
No – cooking of the main meal for the day is generally done by the convenor.
Is lunch supplied?
Yes. You are able to eat anything you like free of charge.
We appreciate that everyone is extremely busy, but ask for your help (in any way) in keeping the tuckshop running at the level it is now.
If you have any other questions or would like to visit, please feel free to come down and say hi or contact Teri on 3340 8854.
