About the Role

The Industrial Technology Assistant plays a key operational role in the day-to-day running of the College’s workshops. You will work closely with teaching staff and students to ensure facilities, materials, tools, and equipment are well maintained, compliant, and ready for use.

Central to this role is a proactive, team-oriented approach and a commitment to creating a positive learning environment aligned with the Christian ethos of the College.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Industrial Technology facilities, materials, tools, and equipment
• Order and maintain consumable and non-consumable stock, tools, and spare parts
• Monitor stock levels, asset registers, safety documentation, and maintenance schedules
• Maintain workshop equipment and machinery to a high standard, including testing and tagging
• Support teachers with workshop preparation and maintaining clean, safe learning spaces
• Assist in classroom activities and provide appropriate pastoral care to students
• Support OHS compliance, including PPE management, chemical data, and risk assessments
• Assist with construction, repairs, and improvements to learning facilities as directed

About You

You will bring:

• Strong knowledge of workshop tools, machinery, and industry-standard practices
• Confidence using CAD/CAM technology
• A clear understanding of OHS requirements in an industrial or workshop setting
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• The ability to communicate effectively with staff, students, and external suppliers
• Flexibility to support classroom activities and occasional out-of-hours programs
• A collaborative approach and commitment to confidentiality and professionalism

Mandatory Requirements

• Hold a current Paid Blue Card or be issued with a Paid Blue Card or Exemption Card prior to commencing work.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
