Personal Assistant (PA) to Head of Junior School

Redeemer Lutheran College is seeking a highly organised and professional Personal Assistant to support the Head of Junior School. This term‑time role is central to the smooth operation of the Junior School, providing high‑level administrative support to the Head of Junior School and Leadership Team, with a strong emphasis on discretion, sound judgement, and confidentiality.
About the Role
The Personal Assistant plays a key role in the effective functioning of the Junior School, providing reception, administrative, and organisational support. Working closely with the Head of Junior School, you will manage priorities, coordinate communications, and support a wide range of administrative processes in a fast‑paced school environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional administrative and PA support to the Head of Junior School and Junior School Leadership Team
- Manage diaries, meetings, correspondence, and documentation
- Act as a key point of contact for parents, staff, and visitors, ensuring a courteous and welcoming environment
- Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive information
- Support enrolment processes, reporting, staffing cover, rosters, and academic administration
- Prepare letters, emails, reports, presentations, and meeting documentation
- Assist with reception duties and provide backup first aid support as required
- Maintain accurate electronic records and utilise College databases
- Work collaboratively with Junior School staff to ensure efficient office operations
About You
The successful applicant will demonstrate:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar high‑level administrative or PA role
- Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- High attention to detail with advanced written communication skills
- A proven commitment to maintaining confidentiality and exercising sound judgement
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint)
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a school environment
Qualifications & Requirements
- Certificate III in Business Administration
- Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or willingness to obtain
- Current First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain (training supported by the College)
