Teacher Assistant – Learning Enrichment 7 to Year 12

Redeemer Lutheran College is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic part time Learning Enrichment Teacher Assistant to join our team, working with our Senior School students.

In this role, you will work collaboratively with teachers and specialist Learning Enrichment staff to provide high-quality classroom support and adjustments for students with additional needs.

We value strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain positive, inclusive relationships with students who have diverse physical, sensory, educational and social-emotional needs, as well as with the wider Redeemer community.

Position Details:

  • Type: Permanent, term-time position
  • Commencement: 20 April 2026
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:15am to 3:15pm (minimum 3 days will be considered).

Skills and Experience:

  • Provide individual and small group support to students with specific learning needs as directed by teaching staff or outlined in the student support plan.
  • Implement effective strategies to support students’ literacy and numeracy development.
  • Help students develop a growth mindset and enhance their academic and social skills.
  • Experience working with students with diverse physical, sensory, cognitive and social-emotional needs is advantageous.
  • Utilise various strategies and assistive technologies to support student participation and communication.
  • Ability to work both collaboratively in a team and independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Willingness to support the Christian ethos of the College.

Qualifications

  • A Certificate III or IV in School Based Education Support is preferred.
