About the role:
Redeemer Lutheran College is seeking an experienced Maintenance & Grounds Team Member to take on this permanent full-time position, commencing as soon as possible. The Maintenance & Grounds Team Member is part of a small team of professionals, whose role is to ensure that the College facilities and grounds are maintained in a neat, tidy, safe and hygienic manner.
As a person with impeccable standards, the role will assist with the maintenance and the ongoing development of our beautiful grounds and buildings that we are proud to call Redeemer Lutheran College. Presenting our College to our stakeholders with pride aligns with our values and resonates with our community.
This position includes (but not limited to) the following:
- Maintaining the College gardens
- Ensuring buildings and facilities are prepared to meet the College Program
- Ensuring College plant and equipment are appropriately maintained
- Working with other facilities staff in setting up for school events
- Specialist skilled duties that you may be qualified to carry out
- Other duties as directed
Skills and Experience:
- Proven expertise in a trade and relevant industry-based experience would be highly regarded.
- Applicants with Working at Heights and White Card training would be highly regarded.
- Display discretion, confidentiality, honesty and integrity in their relationships with the differing sectors of the College and wider community.
- Proactively communicate with individuals, groups, authorities as necessary to expedite good management and present the College in the best possible light.
- Ensure presentation, behavior, language and driving practices are always professional and appropriate and reflective of the College’s expectations.
- Maintain and further develop high standards of administrative efficiency in the College.
- Actively support the Christian values and ethos of the College.
