Position available for an accomplished Flute & Piccolo Music Tutor
Redeemer Lutheran College is seeking to employ a suitably qualified and enthusiastic music educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience teaching a wide range of age groups, employing an inclusive flute and piccolo methodology that engages and supports all students. They will be a highly accomplished educator, adept at supporting students with ensemble repertoire whilst preparing students for internal and external examinations at all levels of learning. A proven team player, they will bring energy and collaborative spirit to our music department, contributing positively to students’ music education. High-level piano and accompanying skills will be considered an advantage.
The position is for an Instrumental Music Tutor who can provide at least one day of flute and piccolo tuition, with room to grow if necessary.
Your duties will include (but not be limited to):
- Delivering inclusive Flute and Piccolo lessons, including thoughtfully tailored planning, assessment and reporting;
- An interest in contributing to the College’s Year 5 Band program;
- An interest in contributing to the College’s Chamber Music program;
- Preparing students for College performances (ensembles, solo recitals, etc.);
- Preparing students for AMEB examinations, eisteddfods, etc., as appropriate;
- Timetable management, ensuring consistency, accountability and accuracy;
- Regular collaboration and communication with the College’s Classroom Music and Performance Music teams;
- Proactively communicate with College families, including regular updates on student progress;
- Willingness to engage in internal and external Professional Development programs;
- Other general duties associated with the role of College Music Tutor.
