About the role:
Redeemer Lutheran College has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated person to work within our College Sport Department as the Sport Development Officer. This is a part time (up to 36 hours per week including some Saturday mornings), Term Time+ (42 Weeks per year) position starting Friday 16 January 2026.
The position of Sport Development Officer exists to provide support to the Sport Department and to develop specific sports across the College without the restrictions of a teaching load.
This position includes (but is not limited to) the following:
- The planning and development of College sport programs
- Sport administration duties and assistance with College sporting events
- Coaching of College sport teams.
Skills and experience:
- Hold a current Coaching Accreditation with the relevant State or National Sporting Organisation (SSO/NSO) to a minimum Level 1 or higher, and seek to obtain higher accreditation within 12 months of commencing the position
- Graduate or post-graduate qualifications in a sport or exercise related field would be looked upon favourably
- Maintain current First Aid, CPR and EPI-pen training qualifications
- The successful applicant will have current qualifications, or willingness to work towards obtaining qualifications, to facilitate a personal fitness program for students, including the running of strength and conditioning/fitness testing
- Understanding of the need for confidentiality and sensitivity of information
- The ability to support the Christian ethos of the College.
